Today I woke up early, and found myself unable to go back to sleep because my mind was racing. Instead of fighting it, I figured I could use the extra time I almost never have in the morning to continue with a meditation practice. I often like to pick a theme to have some sort of direction because it’s easy to get lost in your thoughts.
Today’s theme was: Perspective.
The way we perceive things from a distance allows us to assign them value. People naturally follow their heart and intuition, but we can just as easily assign negative value to things that we experience. By changing your perspective, you may become more open to others’ points of view and your own experiences. Heck, you might even feel a little more optimistic, motivated, friendlier in conversation with people.
Why not try it? Take five minutes to change your perspective, set your intentions and tackle the day!
